Pre-euthanasia consultation, in-home

I will spend up to an hour answering any questions you have about euthanasia, after care, anything at all regarding the process including options and whether or not it is time for euthanasia.  The fee for  up to an hour consultation is $ 150 regardless of whether euthanasia is performed at that time or not.  The consultation fee can be applied to euthanasia in the future if desired.



Pre-euthanasia sedation

All pets are given medication to relax them and make them sleepy, pain-free and comfortable prior to the actual euthanasia.  The sedation process can take up to 30 minutes and is a very peaceful time to spend some final quiet time with your beloved pet.

State of the art, painless euthanasia procedure is performed when you and your pet are ready, after sedation.



After care

I partner with Caring Pet Crematory in Sacramento.  I can transport your pet to their facility after the euthanasia and return the ashes to you in a simple container afterward if you desire.The crematory is a very welcoming and professional office.  You are welcome to pick up your pet's ashes there yourself if you wish.  The cost for cremation is dependent on the size of your pet. The average fee is $175. Other options are available.

 

Prices

The standard price for consultation, pre-euthanasia sedation, euthanasia, and transport to the crematory is $300.  This fee does not include the fee for cremation which is dependent on the size of your pet.  There is an additional fee for short notice ( within a few hours), extended travel, or late night and holiday.

There is also a small fee for me to pick up and return ashes to you at your home.  You are welcome to pick them up at no charge, but I understand that may be uncomfortable for some.  I accept cash, check and all major credit cards and Care Credit.
